WATCH: Jan Jensen, Hawkeyes discuss the win over Evansville

There was little drama in the Hawkeyes dominating win over Evansville on Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The only thing that was undecided late in the game was whether or not Iowa would break the program single-game scoring record. They did, putting up 119 points, surpassing the previous record of 115 points set also against Evansville back in 2022. Six Hawkeyes scored in double figures.

HawkeyeReport caught up with head coach Jan Jensen after the game to discuss the record-breaking win over the Purple Aces. She spoke about her biggest takeaways, what she tries to accomplish in games with large leads, the play of Chit-Chat Wright, three-point shooting and more. The media also got a chance to talk with Layla Hays and Chit-Chat Wright. Hays, in her second career game, led Iowa in scoring with 20 points, while Wright recorded a double-double 16 points and ten assists.
