WATCH: Jan Jensen, Hawkeyes talk win over Northern Iowa
Another game, another in-state win for the Iowa Women’s Basketball team. On Sunday afternoon, the 21st-ranked Hawkeyes made the 90-minute trip north to the McLeod Center to take on Northern Iowa. The Panthers controlled the tempo early, slowing the game down, but Iowa got things rolling eventually and cruised to a 74-41 victory.
After the game, head coach Jan Jensen met with the media to discuss the win over the Panthers. She spoke about the slow start to the game, what Chit-Chat Wright has brought over the last couple of games and her thoughts on the depth off the bench.
Chit-Chat Wright and Hannah Stuelke also spoke to the media after the game. Wright finished with a game-high 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting, while Stuelke added four points and seven rebounds.
