Xavier Nwankpa familiar with UMass coach

When Iowa faces UMass on Saturday afternoon, Xavier Nwankpa will see a familiar face on the other sideline. Back when he was one of the most prized recruits in the country coming out of Southeast Polk High School, Nwankpa was recruited by Joe Harasymiak, who was the defensive back coach and co-defensive coordinator at Minnesota. The talented player who eventually picked Iowa and the assistant coach developed a good relationship.
Nwankpa discusses that recruitment and he also talked about the head coach he did pick, Kirk Ferentz, and why he ended up being a Hawkeye. He talks about all the honesty and truth that he received from Ferentz and defensive coordinator Phil Parker as a reason why he ended up being a Hawkeye the last four years.
