What position will Zach Lutmer play?
Heading into the 2025 season, there are quite a few new faces that will be occupy starting roles on the Iowa defense. In fact, it’s upwards of seven new starters and one of them will almost certainly be Zach Lutmer.
Last season, the northwest Iowa native got his feet wet with a limited role in the secondary. This season he will move into a starting role, but the question is where will he end up playing? Will it be at strong safety? Will it be at the Cash position? We visited with Lutmer to see if he would give us a hint as far as which position it will be and he also shares the name of a young player that has impressed him in practice.
