Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into all sorts of relevant topics in Wildcat land. Another new era is upon us, as the rules keep changing in college athletics, this time to the transfer portal.

An argument can be made that this modification to the current set-up is actually a positive one. We know that K-State head coach Chris Klieman will like it. Wave goodbye to the spring transfer portal window, thank goodness.

A one-time portal window will open on January 2 and close just two weeks later on January 16. How does that impact the Wildcats moving forward? What adjustment will need to be made? Is it a good or bad thing overall for Kansas State?

Nobody has been more criticized in recent weeks than K-State offensive coordinator Matt Wells. Not even Klieman. Suffice it to say, we have participated in making him a punching bag as well. But I do think it’s important to remember one thing that does deflect some of the blame away from him.

We provide a hint below of what’s inside.

  • Is having only one transfer window a good or bad things for Kansas State?
  • Why Wells does deserve some slack.
  • Why the new portal window could be an advantage for K-State.
  • What is hindering the play-calling this year?

That is just a taste of what can be found in our Kansas State team and recruiting content on a weekly basis throughout the calendar year. There has never been a better time to join the largest community of K-State fans on the internet that converse and discuss the Wildcats on a daily basis.
