Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into all sorts of relevant topics in Wildcat land. This week’s version won’t just be on what is happening on the football side of things but basketball as well.

Jerome Tang and K-State have had details of their non-conference schedule drip out in recent days, in addition to releasing the details of the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City. They’ll meet Mississippi State in the first contest at T-Mobile Center.

There is also a game with Creighton that leaked out that will be played in Omaha during the 2025-2026 season and Manhattan the 2026-2027 season. But we also know Kansas State will head to Bloomington to face Indiana this year. Will the Hoosiers make a return to Manhattan?

Much to the surprise of many, four-star Great Bend tight end Ian Premer picked Notre Dame rather than Kansas, Iowa State or Kansas State. My prediction, as well as several others, was for the Wildcats. What information didn’t get through that would have pointed to the Fighting Irish?

In recent weeks we have seen recruiting misses by K-State for guys that they’ve contended with for an extended period of time – Premer but also cornerback S’Vioarean Martin, running back DeZephen Walker and offensive lineman Noah Best.

Is there reason for concern?
