Buzz: Will Kansas State hang onto safety commit Nick McClellan?

Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into all sorts of relevant topics in Wildcat land. We’re going to keep the status quo and cover the K-State recruiting efforts as they hosted another major visitor weekend.
Apart from those on campus, Kansas State was also trying to win recruiting battles for those not in Manhattan. One of those was a defensive tackle considering K-State, Iowa and Cincinnati. It didn’t go the Wildcats’ way. Another defensive back target is trending elsewhere as well.

Defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman used a multi-year effort to reel in St. Louis safety Nick McClellan not long ago. He camped in Manhattan twice and also took an official visit not long ago to campus. Though he committed to the Wildcats, he visited Iowa afterwards.
