Kansas State adds DB Garrick Dixon

Kansas State stays hot on the recruiting trail in the 2026 class. Fort Zumwalt, Missouri defensive back Garrick Dixon has committed to K-State.
While some recruitments are a marathon, some are a sprint. Dixon’s was the definition of a sprint. The Missouri native was offered by Kansas State just six days ago before pulling the trigger on the Wildcats.
K-State offered the defensive back at a camp last Sunday. The Wildcats’ coaching staff was blown away by his performance and felt compelled to offer Dixon. It is a similar recruitment to Darien Whitaker last cycle, where, despite other options on the board, Kansas State felt the Missouri native was too good to pass on.
Future position is still up in the air at K-State for Dixon. He played both corner and safety at the Wildcats camp and played well at both spots. He played so well at both positions the Wildcats plan for him is just to play defensive back and figure out his position later.
