Kansas State adds German wing Elias Rapieque

Kansas State has gone international for its latest commitment. German wing Elias Rapieque has committed to K-State.

Jerome Tang and his Kansas State coaching staff have been focused on the International front since the Wildcat season ended. Tang and Anthony Winchester have both traveled overseas on recruiting trips to see some of the world’s best prospects.

Rapieque currently plays for Alba Berlin in the EuroLeague, likely the second-best professional league in the world behind the NBA. For Alba Berlin this season, he is averaging 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 27 games while playing 15 minutes per game and shooting 54 percent from the floor.

His best game of the season came against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv scoring 14 points on 4 of 6 shooting while adding three rebounds and two assists. Rapieque also went for double-digits, scoring 11 points and adding four rebounds and three assists versus FC Bayern Munich.

The German brings lots of experience to K-State, playing in many overseas events. Rapieque was part of the U20 EuroBasket in 2024 where he averaged 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 61 percent from the floor and 31.8 percent from three in 24 minutes per game.

The wing’s best game came against Montenegro where he scored 17 points while adding five rebounds and four assists while shooting 60 percent from the floor. Rapieque was also in double digits versus Serbia where he scored 16 points and adding four rebounds and two assists.

With an international addition, Kansas State get a more veteran player. Rapieque is already 21 years old and would turn 22 during the upcoming Big 12 season.

Rapieque is the 13th player for the 2025-2026 roster, assuming Tyreek Smith gets his extra year of eligibility. The Wildcats are still recruiting as if they’ll add another player, though.
