Kansas State continues to add to its 2025 football roster. Southeastern Louisiana running back transfer Antonio Martin has committed to K-State.

The decision from Martin comes just before his planned official visit to Kansas State this weekend. It was a very, very quick recruitment with the running back entering the transfer portal April 25 and announcing his plans to play his college football in Manhattan already.

Martin spent the 2024 season at Southeastern Louisiana before transferring to Louisiana Monroe in January. However, after spring football he decided to depart from Louisiana-Monroe and enter the transfer portal once again.

The 2024 season for Southeastern Louisiana was a very productive season for the Georgia native. He rushed for a career high 1,228 yards and 11 touchdowns while adding 20 catches for 74 yards as well in his first year of significant playing time at the FBS level.

His most productive game came against Tarleton State where he carried the ball 32 times for 206 yards and three scores. He followed it up with another great game rushing the ball 27 times for 185 yards and two touchdowns versus Texas A&M-Commerce.

Martin played two games against FBS competition last season, too. He posted 68 yards on 13 carries versus Tulane and 93 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown against Southern Mississippi.

Prior to his time at Southeastern Louisiana, he played one year at Blinn College where he rushed for 603 yards and five scores in 2023. Before his stop at the junior college level, Martin spent his true freshman season in 2022 at Georgia Tech where he did not see any game action.

More depth at running back was needed by K-State after Nebraska transfer Gabe Ervin chose to medically retire after one spring at Kansas State in 2025 due to injuries. Dylan Edwards and Joe Jackson will be a major part of the offense, but depth at the position is very young and Martin adds experience to the running back room.
