Kansas State adds Stanton Weber to coaching staff
Kansas State has hired Stanton Weber to be the new special teams coordinator under Collin Klein.
Weber is a former Wildcat special teamer who played from 2011 to 2015 at K-State. Weber appeared in all 38 games over his final three seasons at K-State as a special teams ace. Once his playing days were over, he began coaching.
He spent four seasons at Kansas State in various roles before departing for South Carolina. Under Shane Beamer, Weber was a special teams analyst for two seasons in Columbia.
After his stop in the SEC, Weber was hired by Toledo’s Jason Candle to be special teams coordinator for the Rockets. Candle recently accepted the UConn Head Coach position.

Toledo ranked 24th in Brian Fremau’s special teams rankings in 2025, while South Carolina ranked first in special teams in Weber’s final season as an analyst in 2022.
Weber was on the K-State staff in 2019 and 2020 under Chris Klieman, when the team was still returning kicks at a high level. During those two seasons, the Wildcats had seven return touchdowns. In the five years following, they had just five.
