Kansas State adds WR Jaron Tibbs

Kansas State has landed its second transfer portal commitment of the cycle. Purdue wide receiver Jaron Tibbs has announced his commitment to K-State.
The announcement from the wide receiver comes on the heels of an official visit to Kansas State. He was one of a handful of visitors to be in Manhattan this week already. Prior to visiting K-State, Tibbs had visited Wake Forest. The true sophomore was also set to visit USC and Arkansas later this week. However, those visits will no longer take place.
K-State offered Tibbs December 5th shortly after he officially entered the transfer portal. The Indianapolis native also held offers from Wake Forest, Louisville, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, East Carolina, UTEP, Liberty, Western Michigan, USC, Rutgers and Arkansas before committing to the Wildcats.
Wide receivers coach Matthew Middleton deserves a tip of the cap for getting the job done for Kansas State. The wide receiver room at K-State is undergoing some turnover with three departing seniors and losing Tre Spivey and Keagan Johnson to the transfer portal making wide receiver a need for the Wildcats. Kansas State is likely not done adding wideouts, either.

Tibbs had a solid two seasons for the Boilermakers tallying 30 catches for 347 yards and two touchdowns. This season as a true sophomore was his most productive season with 25 catches for 305 yards and two scores. His best statistical game came against Michigan State this season where he caught four passes for 73 yards and had a long reception of 38 yards. The sophomore also caught four passes for 51 yards and a score in the Purdue loss to Illinois this season.
Overall counting the members of the 2025 class who have already signed, Tibbs is addition No. 27 for the Wildcats. He is the second transfer addition along with Oklahoma corner Jayden Rowe. The wide receiver will have two seasons to play at Kansas State and has a redshirt available.
