Kansas State defeats SEC schools for offensive lineman Devin Vass

The Kansas State recruiting class has grown by one. Lakeland, Florida offensive lineman Devin Vass has committed to K-State after a huge and dominating win for the Wildcats against Big 12 foe Oklahoma State on Saturday.
The verbal pledge of Vass comes on the heels of an official visit to Manhattan. He saw the epic performance from Kansas State in person. His recruitment was already headed in that direction. It progressed quickly once the Sunshine State native once was offered by K-State October 16.
Vass held other offers from Appalachian State, East Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, Kansas, Maryland, Memphis, Missouri, South Florida and Vanderbilt. He also had accrued interest from Clemson and Florida in recent weeks.
The Tigers and Commodores from the SEC both had made a play for him, but he rebuffed both, even though he did make a trip to Nashville for an official visit. Vass actually admitted to KSO that neither institution was of interest to him.

Kansas State has made their presence felt in Florida in the 2023 recruiting class. Vass is the third verbal pledge from the southern state. The offensive lineman joins Davenport running back Joe Jackson and Fort Walton Beach receiver Jayce Brown.
He is also commitment No. 21 and second of the day for K-State and is the third offensive lineman in the class, adding to a group that already consisted of Camden Beebe and Jackson Fullmer.
