Kansas State continues to stay hot on the recruiting trail. Engelwood, Colorado wide receiver Maxwell Lovett has committed to K-State.

The decision from the Colorado native comes on the heels of an official visit to Kansas State. Lovett snuck into Manhattan for an official visit beginning Sunday, which concluded on Tuesday, June 17. He is the fifth prospect to visit K-State from the weekend who has committed to the Wildcats. He joins safeties Nick McClellan and Hannibal Navies, as well as defensive back Garrick Dixon and defensive tackle Kingston Hall.

Lovett’s recruitment is very similar to Garrick Dixon, who committed to Kansas State just two days ago. K-State offered the Colorado native at the June 12 camp and he committed to the Wildcats just five days later. While he did not hold an offer for long, he was a long-time target of Kansas State, who wanted to see him camp. After he did so, K-State pressed for his commitment.

In total, the junior held offers from Oregon State, Boston College, Louisiana Tech, Colorado State, Hawaii, New Mexico, UCONN and Wyoming before committing to the Wildcats. Lovett took official visits to Louisiana Tech and Boston College before his time in Manhattan and was scheduled to visit Oregon State on June 20, but will no longer visit.

This past season for Cherry Creek, Lovett tallied 39 catches for 627 yards and nine touchdowns. The Colorado native also shone on the track this spring. He ran a 10.59 100-meter dash, which broke the Cherry Creek school record on May 9. Lovett is also teammates with fellow 2026 Kansas State commit Oliver Miller.

In total, the junior wide receiver is commitment No. 14 in K-State’s 2026 recruiting class.
