Kansas State players of the game in the loss to Utah

Kansas State offensive MVP: Joe Jackson
Who else would get this award besides Joe Jackson? The Kansas State running back was incredible in the loss to Utah. Jackson now holds the rushing record for a single game at K-State and for an opponent at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The junior running back totaled 293 yards on the ground with three scores and had 312 yards from scrimmage. Impressively, his four longest runs of the entire season came against a stout Utah rush defense.
Antonio Martin provided Kansas State a spark in the run game as well. The transfer running back totaled 89 yards on just five carries and scored his first touchdown as a Wildcat.
K-State’s offensive line deserves a lot of credit as well. The Wildcats rushed for 472 yards, a new program record and it was the most allowed by Utah’s defense in school history as well. Most impressively Kansas State rushed for 11.2 yards per carry and really were the more physical team.
Defensive MVP: Jordan Allen
Jordan Allen caused a lot of havoc on Saturday and was a major bright spot. He keeps coming along and has shown a lot of flashes along the Kansas State defensive line. Allen totaled three tackles, with 2.5 tackles for a loss, a sack and made perhaps the most impressive play of the night stopping a Utah jet sweep.

Daniel Cobbs‘ improvement has been noticeable as well this season. He keeps showing flashes and can be a major player for K-State next season. The safety totaled seven tackles, including a tackle for a loss.
K-State special teams MVP: Luis Rodriguez
Luis Rodriguez continues to be nails this season. The Kansas State kicker connected on both of his field goals and all of his extra points. After his first true miss of the season last week, it was good to see him bounce back and not looked fazed or rattled.
