Kansas State players of the game in the win over Colorado
Kansas State offensive MVP: Joe Jackson
Have a two weeks, Joe Jackson. After his record breaking performance last week in Salt Lake City, the Kansas State running back was really good again in Manhattan. The run game was not always pretty a times, but was good enough to still get the Florida native 142 yards and three scores and average 5.5 yards per carry.
Impressively, he has had more runs of 20+ yards in the last two games than he had in his entire career. Jackson willed the Wildcats on a put-away drive to end the game in the fourth quarter.
To be honest, though, there was not really another offensive standout. It was an up and down game from Avery Johnson and Jaron Tibbs, which led to a poor day throwing the ball.
Defensive MVP: Ryan Davis
It is clear Ryan Davis is much healthier than he was at the beginning of the season. He has really turned a corner beginning with the Kansas game (outside of a terrible targeting penalty last week) and has been the player K-State fans expected after hearing his name during Big 12 Media Day a bunch.
Davis was in the Colorado backfield much of the game and really popped all game for the Kansas State defensive line. The Arizona native tallied six tackles, including three for a loss and two sacks. The final K-State play of the game defensively resulted in a Davis sack.

Desmond Purnell had a solid game in his final go in Manhattan. The Topeka native led Kansas State in tackles with nine and had a pair of tackles for a loss. Qua Moss continues to flash to end the season and has really taken a jump throughout the course of the year.
K-State special teams MVP: Qua Moss
Moss’ field goal blocked proved to be critical for K-State on the first drive of the game for Colorado. In a 24-14 win, it is not a play that should be overlooked. Moss got there with ease and got a great jump to get into the backfield.
Luis Rodriguez had a solid day at the office, being perfect on his kicks in a tough day weather-wise. Simon McClannan hit a 62 yard punt and Ralph Ortiz was an eyelash away from a blocked punt.
