Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. Upon a 17th straight win over Kansas, we caught up with those prospects being recruited by K-State to get their input on the dominance.

Let’s start with the commits. We know the Wildcats have had to play quite a bit of defense on the recruiting trail through the first few weeks of the season. A 1-3 and 2-4 start did not give off good vibes. And other Power Four programs smelled blood in the water.

Linebacker commit DJ Ackerson and offensive lineman commit Oliver Miller specifically had other schools trying to pry them loose. They have not wavered in spite of that. What did the group of verbal pledges think of the win in Lawrence?

We have laid it out there numerous times, but the Wildcats aren’t finished. They’ll add as many as 5-7 other prospects in the 2026 recruiting cycle. Who those are is still to be determined. We spoke to a few about what the K-State win meant to them.

A few of the top in-state prospects are already committed to Kansas State. A few are standouts in the Class of 2027 or Class of 2028. We wasted little time gauging their response on the win by the Wildcats even if they were in Lawrence for the game.
