Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. It’s time to at least discuss the elephant in the room as K-State falls to a 2-4 record.

We know that Chris Klieman has long planned to not coach to old age as some do. And he’s recently showed more and more disdain for the current climate of college football, though to be fair, he is on the AFCA board and has been insistent on trying to promote change as well.

With that being said, how does he approach the rest of this season and what effects could it have on himself and the athletic department as a whole.

The actual elephant in the room is the ascent of assistant coach Collin Klein. Obviously, he is becoming more and more popular since leaving Manhattan and helping lead a Texas A&M offense that has taken off with quarterback Marcel Reed.

He nearly got a head coaching job last year. Will he after this season and does that impact the thought process for anyone at K-State?
