Nuggets: Toughest home games on the Kansas State schedule

Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. We’ve discussed the toughest road games on the K-State schedule this season and will now take aim at the home games.
Does the Iowa State game count? It’s at least supposed to be a home game for the Wildcats but will be played at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland during week zero of the 2025 season. We’ll say no, especially since there will be plenty of Cyclone fans in attendance. There will be no advantage for Kansas State.
That shrinks the field considerably.
One of the two obvious choices is when TCU comes to town. The Horned Frogs quietly finished the year pretty impressive, somewhat akin to what Baylor accomplished. It was just overlooked a bit, and we know that Josh Hoover is a stud.

In what may turn out to be the most anticipated home game on the schedule, K-State hosts Texas Tech. They’re almost the Colorado of this season. Everyone wanted a piece of the Buffaloes last year because of how viral and mainstream they’d become.
The same goes for the Red Raiders in 2025. They loaded up with the No. 1 portal class in America and are now landing in-state five-star prospects over Texas and getting all the headlines from every reputable national outlet.

Chris Klieman will have no issue getting Kansas State up for this one.

Speaking of Colorado, they come to Bill Snyder Family Stadium this season and still bring the cache with them even if it’s just because of Coach Prime. Remember, K-State quarterback Avery Johnson imitated his touchdown dance last season in Boulder.
I expect some electricity in the building for the Buffaloes’ first trip to Manhattan since 2009.
