Nuggets: Who Kansas State has missed the most

Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. We’re sticking with football and the 3-1 start and still trying to diagnose what has went wrong for K-State.
The offseason was that much of a dramatic one when it came to coaching exodus following another 8-4 year under Chris Klieman. Conor Riley left Kansas State soon after the season to take the offensive line coach position for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Wildcats moved some pieces around to shoulder that loss, ultimately giving promotions to current assistants Matt Wells and Brian Lepak and hiring Wells’ brother Luke Wells to the staff. Strength coach Trumain Carroll left after spring ball for USC, and Klieman again just promoted Ray Thomas to the role.
Was promoting the issue? Is there anyone whose departure is being felt the most?

Speaking of missing dudes, Kansas State also lost some guys to the NFL Draft of course but also to the transfer portal and graduation. Is there a leadership void? Is there a production void? Who haven’t they been able to replace?

LINK: Offensive player the Wildcats miss
It was a bye week for K-State so we all watched a lot of other college football, both in the Big 12 and nationally. I counted about five other Power Four programs that were as bad or worse than Kansas State, not including Virginia Tech and UCLA who also did not play.

We provide a hint of what is inside below.
- Which Power Four teams can K-State beat?
- Do the Wildcats miss some of the departing coaches?
