Status of Kansas State OL Christian Duffie, WR Keagan Johnson

As expected, we received an update from Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman on the status of a few injured players. Offensive lineman Christian Duffie has not played yet this season, nor has he been in uniform. K-State receiver Keagan Johnson saw limited action on Saturday versus Troy.
Duffie’s injury stems from the offseason. He missed entirety of Kansas State training camp. Johnson’s issue surfaced during practice at the end of the week just before the season opener against SEMO, but he returned in week two.
In the absence of Duffie, junior Carver Willis has received the two starts thus far. He has also been spelled at times by senior and All-American Cooper Beebe. K-State may also be able to use John Pastore at right tackle this week against Missouri.

Klieman revealed that, like last week, Duffie did practice on Monday. They are going to try and push him a little further during practice on Tuesday and Wednesday to gauge how much he can do at this stage. They’ll know his availability for this weekend by Thursday.
Johnson saw 16 snaps, all in the second half, against Troy. Kansas State is optimistic that his workload can increase this week. He finished Saturday’s contest with 25 yards on three catches. He also nearly scored in his first game as a Wildcat.
They are hoping to cut him loose even a bit further. He also practiced on Monday without issue.
In fact, everyone that played in last Saturday’s game was available for practice on Monday.
