What we’re hearing on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market, both from a team and K-State recruiting standpoint.

We have watched the Wildcats play two exhibition contests and look dominant in their first non-conference game of the season against UNC-Greensboro. We have already shared the pertinent highlights, but what player off the radar has caught my eye?

It’s a bye week so it’s a good time to discuss some topics that otherwise wouldn’t be conversed about during a game week. Nobody is pushing Chris Klieman out the door, for clarity. That’s not happening, nor will it happen.

But it is interesting to follow the career path of Collin Klein. The former K-State offensive coordinator and quarterback is leading a Texas A&M offense that has helped the Aggies to an undefeated record and No. 3 ranking in the first College Football Playoff poll.

There are some now arguing he’s the best offensive coordinator in college football. It seems like a lock that he will be a head coach this time next year. What options will he have and is there ever a path he heads back to Manhattan?
