LSU DB Duce Chestnut enters NCAA Transfer Portal
LSU cornerback Darian “Duce” Chestnut has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He started his college career at Syracuse and spent one season with the Tigers.
Chestnut appeared in the first four games of the season but has not played since the Arkansas game on Sept. 23. Chestnut was ruled out for the New Year’s Day bowl game against Wisconsin.
“You know, we’ll have to sit down. We have not sat down with them,” Brian Kelly said this month on Chestnut and Denver Harris. “We’re going to wait until the end of the semester and then we’ll sit down and have individual conversations with both of them.”
Chestnut was ranked as a three-star cornerback and the No. 469 overall player in the country for the class of 2021, according to the On3 Industry rankings. Chestnut recorded six tackles, a tackle for loss and an interception this season.
