The LSU Tigers Have the No. 1 Class Early in 2025 | Major Visit Weekend in Baton Rouge | Inside Scoop

The LSU football team finished with the No. 1 offense in college football during the 2023 season, and quarterback Jayden Daniels took home the Heisman Trophy.

Daniels joined Joe Burrow as the second LSU quarterback to win the Heisman across the past five seasons, and the nation’s top quarterback recruits have taken notice.

On Thursday, LSU welcomed 5-star+ commitment Bryce Underwood back to campus for the first time since he announced his verbal pledge to the Tigers in January. Underwood is slated to remain on campus until Saturday,

Underwood is not just the No. 1 quarterback in the country, but the No. 1 overall prospect on the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2025 class.

When looking ahead to the future, LSU offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan is already working on the 2026 class and beyond.

This weekend, Sloan and LSU will host Dia Bell, who checks in as the No. 2 quarterback and a Top 50 overall prospect on the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2026 class.

“I’ve been building a relationship with LSU for quite a long time now,” Bell told On3’s Chad Simmons. “It’s been kind of behind-the-scenes and I got the offer more recently. I have a great relationship with (quarterbacks) coach (Joe) Sloan there and he just got the OC job. I’m excited to see what he does.”

Bell, an American Heritage (Fla.) standout who has offers from coast-to-coast, has become one of Sloan’s early targets for the 2026 cycle. He’s set to be on LSU’s campus on Friday and Saturday, which will include the program’s loaded Junior Day – which features more than 30 Top 300 prospects.

Bell, the son of former NBA star Raja Bell, is coming off a visit to Miami and has visits coming to Texas from March 18-19, Pittsburgh on March 21, Penn State from March 22-23, West Virginia on March 25, Auburn on March 26 and North Carolina on April 2, per On3’s Chad Simmons. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound signal-caller is also hoping to see FloridaMississippi State and USF in the coming days.

“I’d like to find a school that is a good fit for me,” Bell said. “I want to feel like I’ve built a relationship with the coaching staff to the point where I feel like that’s the place I feel most comfortable and the place that would be a second home for me. The stuff around football matters too. Academics has always been prioritized in our household. That’s something else I’m looking forward to seeing at these schools.”
