WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Well, the transfer portal opened yesterday and we have you covered with all the news and potential additions for Miami there. That includes a closer look – and feedback – on a couple of DBs that went in the portal yesterday that appear to have Miami’s eye … UNC’s Lejond Cavazos and Texas A&M’s Jacoby Mathews. Another we updated who has heared from Miami is Pittsburgh graduate senior DE Dayon Hayes along with Rutgers DL Rene Konga. Plus OL Jason Zandamela out of USC is a target we update who wants to be closer to his Clearwater home.
And we had coach Mario Cristobal sharing his thoughts on adding more talent in the portal … and reflecting on spring ball.
There’s also our reporting on the players that entered the portal yesterday – QB Jacurri Brown, RB TreVonte’ Citizen and OL Logan Sagapolu (DE Nyjalik Kelly and RB Henry Parrish had previously announced they would be entering the portal).
Plus this morning we have your spring awards in various categories, giving some insight off the 15 practice sessions. And we have you post-spring depth chart looking ahead to the season on defense as Miami continues to look to add more portal pieces.
In recruiting?
We catch up with the coach of recent Miami TE commit Brock Schott for his take on just what the Canes have landed. So you don’t want to miss that.
There’s also an update with Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2026 offensive lineman G’nivre Carr, who shares his thoughts coming off a visit for Miami’s spring game.
Plus check out our hoops story with Riverside Brookfield (Ill.) 2024 center Stefan Cicic. The 7-foot center weighs in off his Miami visit. There’s a hoops portal update as well with Dayton transfer Koby Brea, who entered the transfer portal on Monday.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Winning as we go is an understated concept this year … Posted by 6882
We’ve heard that the OL showed major improvement last year and was actually decent. Not great but showed potential behind a qb that was a terrible leader and an OC that showed little imagination.
Gotta get this martinez RB guy. We need a big tough between the tackles proven guy to let stud fletcher heal.
Point is, we have leadership now, hell even the culture was fixed last year. It’s not the team’s fault that fought to the last play of every game they lost that coach had a brain fart or pouty baby boy wasn’t happy at miami.
When this team wins and the leadership grows with in it. Players will continue to grow and play harder. Just watch, this ol will take the next step this year and with that, all others will follow and show up more prepared and determined. THE WARD GET WAS HUGE. If we pick up this rb in the portal… we’ll resemble one of those teams from the texas usc national title game that bad d’s with some game changers on it and both had bad schedules that year.
I know you’re all not believers in our ol being top notch but watch how crazy they improve as the wins stack up. Winners get greedy.
