WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Last season there were 33 players in college football that surpassed 1,000 receiving yards, and on that list was Miami’s Xavier Restrepo at No. 20 with 1,092. Find out why we think this could be the first time Miami has a pair of 1,000-yard receivers.
There’s also our continuing analysis of the top 50 roster players, giving insight onto this team’s talent level and depth. Check out our closer look at No. 38, DT Joshua Horton.
In recruiting news?
It starts with Miami QB commit Luke Nickel earning an Elite 11 Finals invite and giving his feedback on that.
Another update: Miami (Fla.) Northwestern four-star 2026 receiver Calvin Russell has steadily received increasing amounts of attention from major programs as he’s climbed the recruiting rankings, and the Hurricanes have been a consistent presence in the No. 13 overall prospect’s picture since offering last summer. Find out where things stand with him.

As Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star offensive tackle Keenyi Pepe wraps up his sophomore year, new schools continue to join the race for the coveted 2026 prospect, who is nearing 30 offers. One school that has remained in the mix since the beginning has been the Miami Hurricanes, and UM coaches went to Bradenton to watch Pepe last week. Get his thoughts.
We also catch up with Milton (Fla.) Pace four-star 2025 EDGE Tylon Lee. He has received attention from plenty of programs this spring, and as he prepares for his June official visits, three programs are standing out. Miami’s one of them.
Plus we have an update with Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2026 offensive lineman G’nivre Carr. He made his way down to Miami for the Hurricanes spring game, and last week the Canes staff returned the favor as they stopped by the national powerhouse to watch the four-star prospect.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.
