WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

The CaneSport staff will tackle several key questions this offseason as Miami looks to put together its second 10-win season in the last two decades and make a run for the playoffs. Today we answer the question of whether or not Florida is a must-win game for Mario Cristobal and the Canes.

There’s also our continuing analysis of the top 50 roster players, giving insight onto this team’s talent level and depth. Check out our closer look at No. 37, LB Raul Aguirre.

In recruiting?

We catch up with a couple of upcoming official visitors.

A week from now New Iberia (La.) Westgate defensive back Jaboree Antoine will be in Coral Gables for his official visit to Miami. The longtime LSU commit has not yet shut the door on the Hurricanes, who were one of the first programs to offer the coveted defensive back.

Also don’t miss what Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor School running back Shekai Mills-Knight is saying ahead of his OV.

Plus Vero Beach (Fla.) 2026 four-star offensive tackle Micah “Champ” Smith has been one of the top offensive tackles in next year’s recruiting cycle for more than a year. Find out where Miami stands with him.

There also was our recap/reaction off Miami’s big ACC Tournament baseball win yesterday that moves the 11-seeded Canes into the semifinals on Saturday.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

10+ Win Season (0-1 loss)

I honestly look at our schedule, and it is the easiest schedule I’ve ever seen (including last year’s FSU team), with the best Roster we have had since early 2000’s. We are all in as a program, and I’m super excited to watch us crush teams this year. I’m going to bet heavy on season win total, playoffs, ACCC, FSU and UF.

Don’t let anyone preface any excuses about this year’s team, coaching, luck, etc. it doesn’t exist everyone is doing their job. It’s looking good boys!
