WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
We have plenty of football analysis for you. We look at your national perspective of the Miami Hurricanes team this year through early preseason rankings and betting odds. There’s also our perspective on if Miami will have a 1,000-yard rusher AND 1,000-yard receiver in the same season … and a look at if Miami could have a defender with double-digit sacks. Who might it be?
There’s also our continuing analysis of the top 50 roster players, giving insight onto this team’s talent level and depth. Check out our closer look at No. 36 Markeith Williams, No. 35 Jaden Harris and No. 34 Emory Williams.
Also be sure to check out our feature with a Miami Hurricane national champion: University of Miami redshirt junior Alexa Noel took home the NCAA Singles Championship Saturday afternoon in women’s tennis, and we catch up with her and coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews.
In recruiting?
Although summer official visits are nearly upon us, a new name has emerged on the Miami Hurricanes recruiting board in the 2025 class, and that is St. Augustine (Fla.) High wide receiver Carl Jenkins Jr. Find out about that situation.
Another update: Since Enterprise (Ala.) three-star cornerback Andrew Purcell departed from his spring visit to Miami on March 8, his relationship with the Hurricanes has continued to strengthen. He discusses where things stand.

The Miami Hurricanes 2025 offensive line recruiting board added another name last week when Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola four-star offensive lineman Connor Howes earned an offer from the Canes after conversations with senior analyst Edwin Pata and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal. Find out what Howes is saying.
The Miami Hurricanes also recently were the latest program to offer Cotton Valley (La.) Evangel Christian Academy quarterback Peyton Houston, who is becoming a name to know in the 2027 class after a strong freshman campaign. Get his take.
There also was the baseball team ending its season at the ACC Tournament vs. Duke, so you can read that recap as well.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Expectations for season … Posted by Caneschica
I think less than 9 wins would be a big disappointment – but it’s funny how that leap from 9 to 10 wins seems so large, psychologically. And the media seems to put so much emphasis on getting to that “double-digit” win total.
I guess it will also depend on who those wins are to, right? Meaning, I think we’d be more satisfied with 9 wins having beat all the rivalries and a big bowl opponent than if we had won 10 games, but lost to UF and FSU.
Just something I was thinking about today. What do y’all think?
