Comp on Hoops: Why is Tom Izzo angry? Blame the NCAA, not the kids

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State coach Tom Izzo might have thought the NCAA couldn’t do much more to astonish and anger him, but he was wrong.  College sports’ governing body threw Izzo, and apparently the entire coaching and compliance profession, a knuckle curve this week when it ruled that basketball players could leave the NBA’s G-League after playing professionally in the minor league and then enter the college ranks as eligible players.  “This just goes to show you how ridiculous people that are in power make decisions,” Izzo said on Tuesday.
