Jase Richardson doesn’t seem the least bit bothered about seeing his NBA Draft reality sink from a Lottery candidate to being selected No. 25 overall on Wednesday night by the Orlando Magic. “The majority of my basketball career, I’ve been doubted,” Richardson said on Friday afternoon while on a Zoom interview with members of the Michigan State press corps. “It’s nothing I’m not used to. Coming into Michigan State, I was doubted. Some people were asking me if I was redshirting. So I that’s always going to be there, especially coming into this next level, there’s been a lot of doubt about what I can do. But I’m always willing to prove people wrong and show people that I deserve to be here.” Richardson shared some of his favorite memories from his one year with the Spartans, and his tearful embrace with Tom Izzo on Wednesday night after hearing his name called in the NBA Draft. “Super special,” Richardson said of his moment with Izzo on Wednesday.
