Michigan State offered class of 2025 defensive back Jayden Shipps, of Severn (MD) Archbishop Spalding High School back on Feb. 1. The Spartan offer came as cornerbacks coach Demetrice Martin visited the school. Ships (6-1, 180) holds other offers from Tennessee, Wisconsin, NC State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Duke, and others. He is ranked a three-star, the No. 614 overall recruit in his class by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. Martin, known by most recruits as 'Coach Meat' has made Shipps a top priority since arriving in East Lansing in January. The Michigan State assistant made a strong impression on the three-star cornerback in their first coupe weeks getting to know one another. He breaks down the offer and more.
