Michigan State's Jordan Scott staking claim for increased role at the two

AST LANSING, Mich. - Tom Izzo has been waiting for one of his Michigan State shooting guards to take over the starting and finishing role with his other four established stalwarts. And he’s still waiting. Kur Teng, Trey Fort and Jordan Scott continue to battle for minutes, and trust. Meanwhile, back-up point guard Divine Ugochukwu has also gotten a handful of minutes at the two at various checkpoints this season. The trials will continue on Saturday when No. 9-ranked Michigan State (8-1 and 1-0 in the Big Ten) will play at Penn State (8-2), noon on BTN. “Everybody knows what's going on right now,” Izzo said after practice on Thursday. “No quarterback controversy, no secrets.” (MORE inside SpartanMag.
