Comp on Hoops: Michigan State's Tom Izzo is 'impressed with our roster'

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State’s Tom Izzo put the Spartans through a pseudo Green-White Game as part of practice on Thursday, with officials on the court, blowing whistles, and players scrapping hard. Izzo didn’t comment about the scrimmage afterward, and media aren’t allowed to divulge many observations from the practice, but suffice it to say that the 31-year head coach continues to like what he sees this preseason.  “We’ve had some really good workouts,” Izzo said during Michigan State’s Media Day press conference on Thursday. “Guys needed to improve and I think we got some improvement out of some key guys."
