Three-star Washington (D.C.) St. John’s offensive lineman Adrian Hamilton officially signed with Michigan on Wednesday.

Here is everything you need to know about the talented prospect.

The Skinny

Height: 6-2.5
Weight: 295
Industry Ranking: No. 52 interior offensive lineman, No. 576 overall
Interesting Facts: Was the last prospect to commit to Michigan before National Signing Day. High school teammate of three-star Michigan EDGE commit Tariq Boney. Transferred to St. John’s from Upper Marlboro (Md.) Riverdale Baptist.

Recruitment

Michigan made it a point to find a center late in the cycle. The Wolverines identified Hamilton after going through senior film and made his a top priority. Hamilton, who was previously a Virginia Tech commit, made an official visit to Michigan for the game against Ohio State and flipped to the Wolverines just a few days later. Michigan offensive line coach Grant Newsome led the way in his recruitment.

He Said It

“I’ve always been a fan of Michigan, their offensive line play and their run game over the past years. Overall, I was grateful to get an offer from them. It’s a big opportunity to play for the Michigan Wolverines. I was excited and happy. I’ve always thought of Michigan as a great place. It’s a big school with great coaching.”

They Said It

“He’s a great guy. He’s really strong. He has really good feet. He’s just a dawg. You see it on the field.” — Michigan EDGE commit Tariq Boney

Scouting Report

“Hamilton faced some of the best competition nationally. Remember, St. John’s plays in the WCAC and consistently takes on elite teams. Hamilton looked the part when run blocking. He can cut some baby fat and add more strength, but he already plays with a ton of aggression. He finishes blocks with authority and loves to get physical. He’s not super athletic, but he does play with high level technique, which obviously helps a lot. The recruiting services don’t really value centers. It’s very rare to find a center ranked higher than a three-star. In fact, I thought Jake Guanera had an argument as the best center nationally in his cycle, and yet, he still finished as a high three-star. I don’t think Hamilton is on the Guanera level, but I do think he is comparable to last year’s take at the position — Kaden Strayhorn. Both are shorter, compact centers who win with physicality and technique.” — The Wolverine’s EJ Holland
