Game balls from Michigan's 24-10 win over Wisconsin

ANN ARBOR – The Michigan Wolverines moved to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in Big Ten play with a 24-10 win over Wisconsin on Saturday in Ann Arbor.
There was no shortage of standout players in the Michigan victory. Here are our game ball picks for this week, along with a handful of honorable mentions.
Junior running back Justice Haynes
Justice Haynes finished with 19 carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns, his fifth-straight 100-plus yard game of the season. He is the first player in program history to achieve that mark after becoming the first to do it in four-straight games after the win at Nebraska. He popped a big run on the first drive, going for 43 yards and showing cracks in the armor of the nation’s No. 1 rush defense, who had allowed only 50 yards per game on the ground coming into this one. Michigan ran for 175 yards, and more performances like this from Haynes could put him in the Heisman conversation.
Wide receivers Donaven McCulley and Andrew Marsh
Michigan has been desperately looking for answers at wide receiver, and had another batch of drops on Saturday against the Badgers. None of them came from Donaven McCulley and freshman wideout Andrew Marsh, who combined for 10 catches for 192 yards and a touchdown in this one. They are clearly the two best wide receivers on the team, and Michigan finally used McCulley’s jump ball skillset down the field. He finished the day with 6 catches for 112 yards and a touchdown. Marsh had 4 catches for 80 yards in his first career start. That is something to build off of.

Freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood
Bryce Underwood continues to operate like a veteran out there in his freshman season, ending the day with 270 yards and a touchdown on 19-of-28 pass attempts. He should have had another few completions due to the drops, which have been an issue this season as a program. Underwood only had 12 yards rushing on 5 attempts and was not as much of a threat with his legs this week, but more than got it done through the air.
Graduate defensive back Rod Moore
Rod Moore‘s return to the field after almost two years of missed game action has been an inspiring storyline. The story is no longer the return, but how effective and comfortable he looks out there as he continues to work back into his full-time role. He grabbed his first interception of the season on Saturday, which is a major milestone. Now, Michigan will look to get him on the field more.
