Live updates from 5-star RB Savion Hiter's commitment ceremony
The most important day of Michigan’s 2026 recruiting cycle has arrived. Savion Hiter, the nation’s No. 1 running back and No. 8 overall prospect, will announce his commitment from a Top 4 of Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee and the Wolverines Tuesday morning.
He’s the top rusher in the country out of Mineral (Va.) Louisa County High and is believed to be U-M’s top overall target regardless of position in this class. Michigan put almost all of its running back recruiting eggs into the Hiter basket, and the program sits on the verge of finding out if that will pay off.
