Michigan 2027 recruiting targets rise and fall in updated Rivals300

Rivals dropped its new class of 2027 rankings Monday afternoon, highlighting quite a few Michigan recruiting targets. The Wolverines currently hold the No. 13 class in the country with just 3 commits to date.
Quarterback Peter Bourque was the only Michigan pledge to make the cut. In fact, the talented signal-caller did not move in the rankings at all. He’s the No. 108 recruit in the country and the No. 9 quarterback prospect in the class.
Jakari Lipsey’s impressive junior season catapulted the coveted in-state offensive tackle into the Top 100. He went from unranked to the No. 99 recruit in the country and the No. 4 prospect in a talented in-state class out of Kalamazoo (Mich.) Loy Norrix High. Michigan hosted and offered him earlier this fall.
Kemon Spell leads all U-M targets as the No. 9 recruit in the country. The nation’s No. 1 running back plans on visiting Michigan for the Ohio State game. Elite wide receiver Monshun Sales rose one spot in Monday’s rankings to No. 14 after stopping by U-M over the weekend.
After a strong start to his junior year, wide receiver Quentin Burrell’s ranking held steady at No. 41. Wide receiver Dakota Guerrant fell 32 spots in this week’s rankings to No. 54 overall. Fellow elite pass catcher Matthew Gregory is now classified as an athlete, and he dropped from No. 37 to No. 59.
Wide receiver Jaden Upshaw (No. 62) and Quinterrius Gipson (No. 71) are two Top 100 prospects from Georgia who plan on visiting Michigan for the Ohio State game. Safety Eli Johnson is the No. 81 recruit in the country now, an 11 spot drop. He visited Michigan Saturday.
Myles Smith made an intriguing debut in the rankings at No. 50 overall. The 6-5 edge rusher from Farmington (Mich.) High does not hold a Michigan offer and was unranked before this huge leap into the Rivals300. He received his first offer from Iowa State in September and is now the No. 1 recruit in Michigan
