According to a report, Michigan basketball junior center Hunter Dickinson will join Barstool Sports for a college basketball podcast this coming season. Dickinson is slated to be on the show with former Iowa point guard Jordan Bohannon and Barstool personalities Marty Mush and Jeff Nadu.

The Barstool Bench Mob podcast featuring Mush, Jake Marsh and Rico Bosco was canceled following last season. Dickinson appeared as a guest on the show, and the Michigan standout apparently did enough to earn a spot on the site’s newest college basketball endeavor.

Dickinson confirmed the news with a tweet. Dickinson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $866,000, which is the sixth-highest in college basketball and 29th-highest out of all athletes on the NIL 100.

Michigan has named its five captains for the 2022 season, and none of them are a surprise. Grad student senior Ronnie Bell, senior quarterback Cade McNamara, senior tight end Erick All, senior defensive back/wide receiver Mike Sainristil, and senior defensive tackle Mazi Smith are this year’s choices.

McNamara, specifically, said it was the greatest honor he could receive as a college football player at Michigan. He expressed that in his speech to the team after being selected.

“I just told them the truth. I’m extremely honored to be elected captain,” McNamara said. “For a player only vote, for your teammates to recognize you as a leader of the team, there’s no greater accomplishment  at this level.

“My message is how honored I am, the [potential, and I think where we are as a team, how fired up we are for the season. How blessed I am to be recognized by them, and I love them.”

2023 Michigan football wide receiver commit Semaj Morgan had a huge night in his season opener. The Wolverines’ pledge racked up seven catches for 156 yards and one touchdown, two rushes for 14 yards, an 81-yard kick return and 251 all-purpose yards.

Quote Of The Day

“I always tell the guys individually on defense, ‘Look, no matter how perfect the practice was, how many good plays you had, there’s always more to be done. No matter how good your pad level was, you can always get lower. No matter how good your hand placement is, you can always get it better.”
