Wolverine TV: Juwan Howard and Jace Howard react to loss to Central Michigan

Michigan sent out junior captain Jace Howard and head coach Juwan Howard to try and explain away what happened in Thursday night’s 63-61 loss to Central Michigan, a team who had not had a top-300 win to this point in the season.

Effort and execution were called out by both the Howard.

“Let me give Central Michigan credit for coming out here and playing a game harder than us and being more physical than our team,” head coach Juwan Howard said after the game. “Being more prepared than our team. It starts with me first as a coach.

“[CMU] beat us on the offensive glass with 17 offensive rebounds. That cannot happen. That’s all built on effort and toughness and we did not show up in that category.”

Next up for the Wolverines is the official start of the Big Ten season when Maryland comes to Crisler Center on Jan. 1 at 4:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
