Michigan basketball schedule: Non-conference opponents set for 2025-26

The Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball program announced its non-conference slate on Friday afternoon, headlined by a trip to Vegas and a showdown with the Duke Blue Devils.

Michigan opens the season on Nov. 3 against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies at Crisler Center, followed by a neutral-site game against Wake Forest at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Nov. 11. The Wolverines and Demon Deacons played last season at Greensboro, North Carolina.

Michigan hits the road for the first time on Nov. 14 against TCU in Fort Worth, Texas, followed by a home game against Middle Tennessee on Nov. 19. From there, it hits the 2025 Players Era Championship in Las Vegas, which runs from Nov. 24-27. U-M will play San Diego State on Nov. 24, a Sweet Sixteen rematch with Auburn on Nov. 25 and then close the event with a to-be-determined opponent on either Nov. 26 or 27.

Michigan kicks off a home-and-home series with Villanova on Dec. 9 at Crisler Center, then have a 12-day break before hosting LaSalle on Dec. 21. Following another brief hiatus, U-M returns to action on Dec. 29 against McNeese.

The non-conference slate closes out in February with a game against Duke in Washington, D.C., set for Feb. 21.

• Tuesday, Nov. 25: vs. Auburn (Las Vegas, Nev.)
• Wednesday or Thursday, Nov. 26 or 27: vs. TBD (Las Vegas, Nev.)
• Tuesday, Dec. 9: Villanova (Crisler Center)
• Sunday, Dec. 21: LaSalle (Crisler Center)
• Monday, Dec. 29: McNeese (Crisler Center)
• Saturday, Feb. 21: vs. Duke (Washington, D.C.)

Dates and times are being finalized for Big Ten play. During the conference slate, Michigan will play home-and-homes with rivals Michigan State and Ohio State, along with Penn State.

At home, Michigan hosts Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Rutgers, UCLA, USC and Washington. Its road trips will be at Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue and Washington.

This year’s Big Ten Tournament is set for United Center in Chicago from March 11-15. Michigan will look to defend its conference tourney title after taking home the crown in 2025.
