Michigan coaches, including head man Jim Harbaugh, have been on the road making in-home visits with recruits this week. Per social media posts, Harbaugh made three different stops Thurday, at the homes of center pledge Jake Guarnera, linebacker commit Jaden Smith and future U-M wide receiver Channing Goodwin.

Harbaugh and Co. started out at Guarnera’s, including having some breakfast, and Jim Guarnera, father of Jake, was impressed with his time with Harbaugh.

“This is the first time I got to spend a lot of time with him. I did a little bit on the visit in March and the official visit,” Jim Guarnera told The Wolverine. “When you think of former professional athletes, you think of people that are in the spotlight like Coach Harbaugh is now. When people look from the outside, they see someone who acts differently than they do in-person. I don’t think that’s Coach Harbaugh. I’ve only seen a little bit of him in the public space like when he put Semaj (Morgan) in front of the cameras after the Iowa game. That seems to be the person that he is.

“When we spent time with him today, he’s so down to earth. He’s interested in what you have to say. He’s transparent about what he likes and likes to do. He’s easy to talk to. He’s certainly not this celebrity or personality that doesn’t relate to people. He does things the way we do things. He talks about every day normal things like YouTube TV and all of that… I was joking with Coach Harbaugh. When we were on the OV, we talked about mowing the lawn and cleaning the pool. He feels like cleaning the pool is very therapeutic. I have some leaves at the bottom of my pool, so I joked with him that if he wanted electrotherapy, he could clean my pool and do some yard work. It’s silly, but we had a laugh about it.”

“It was really cool. Especially beating Ohio State, it’s always fun beating them. We were really excited, so we knew that we were going to rush the field. It was really fun with all the guys. I loved it.”
