Contract details revealed for Michigan football's 2022 NFL Draft picks
The 2022 NFL Draft was a life-changing event for five Michigan Wolverines football players.
The Wolverines had five draftees — defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (first round, No. 2 overall to the Detroit Lions), defensive back Daxton Hill (first round, No. 31 to the Cincinnati Bengals), outside linebacker David Ojabo (second round, No. 45 overall to the Baltimore Ravens), running back Hassan Haskins (fourth round, No. 131 overall to the Tennessee Titans) and offensive lineman Andrew Stueber (seventh round, No. 245 overall to the New England Patriots.
All are expected to make good money in the pros, especially first-rounders Hutchinson and Hill. Both players will ink four-year deals, but since they went in the first round, their organizations have the opportunity to extend them a fifth-year option, like former Michigan defensive end Rashan Gary received this offseason (which has him in Green Bay through the 2023 campaign).
Ojabo lost out on some money due to tearing his Achilles at Michigan’s pro day. He was once projected a first-round pick — most had him in the top 15 — but fell to the second round. He fell to a good and familiar spot in Baltimore, though, which could help him cash in on his second contract.

Heading into the draft, Haskins was projected as a late-round pick — fifth, sixth or seventh — but he went earlier than expected, with the Tennessee Titans showing his stock was higher than what projections said. That made Haskins at least $500,000 richer, with the fourth round paying out much more than the later ones.
While some say it’s better to go undrafted than in the seventh round, Stueber will likely receive some guaranteed money and have a better shot at making a final 53-man roster than those signed following the draft. If he sticks, he’s projected to make well over $3 million in the next four seasons.
There have been no reports of Michigan’s draftees signing their deals just yet — that will occur in the coming days and weeks — but here’s a look at their projected contract details, provided by Spotrac.
