The Michigan Wolverines have moved down one spot in the Week 6 AP poll after being idle this weekend, the first of two bye weeks. U-M sits at No. 20 in this week’s ranking heading into the showdown with Wisconsin (noon, FOX).

The Wolverines are one of six Big Ten teams ranked this week, along with Ohio State at No. 1 followed by Oregon (No. 2), Penn State (No. 7), Indiana (No. 9) and Illinois (No. 22). The Wolverines play only one of those teams this year with the Buckeyes coming to town on Thanksgiving weekend for the regular season finale.

Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore said this week the emphasis during the bye week was a full-fledged evaluation of the program after four weeks.

“Make sure the best players are playing on the field,” Moore said of the team’s priorities. “Give guys opportunities to play, but they got to go earn it. So be more fundamental. Attack our fundamentals, attack our technique, attack the how, and keep everybody healthy and get guys back that are healthy. We’re going to do a good job with the plan of how we’re attacking the week, being smart with what we do in practice, so we make sure we get some guys back and get the guys that are playing their legs back. So that’s our game plan as we go next week.”

Here is the full poll released on Sunday afternoon following the Week 5 slate of games. Each week’s AP Poll will be released on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET for the rest of the season.
