Michigan football falls out of AP Poll after loss at USC

The Michigan Wolverines fell to 4-2 on the season with a 31-13 loss at USC on Saturday night. As a result, it fell entirely out of the AP Poll this week after moving all the way up to No. 15 last weekend.
Five teams in the Big Ten, including the Trojans, are ranked after the Week 7 slate of games. Ohio State sits at No. 1, while Indiana moved up to No. 3 after its win at Oregon, which ranks 8th. USC moved back into the top-25 at No. 20, while Nebraska made its AP Poll debut this season at No. 25.
The Wolverines play only one of those teams this year, with the Buckeyes coming to town on Thanksgiving weekend for the regular season finale.
Moore credited USC for how it performed in the win over Michigan.
“I think they just played well,” Moore said on Saturday night. “They executed at a high level. We didn’t execute all the times we needed to. Yeah, they played really well. They executed the times they needed to. We didn’t. We didn’t tackle very well. And we’ve tackled a lot better. And that was not one of our best tackling performances. And those guys executed well, they had a really good plan. Just too many opportunities, big plays, third down conversions, scoring in the beginning of the game and half. So we just gotta do a better job of rallying those things. So, but credit to them, credit to their game plan. No excuses. We got to continue to attack and get better.”
