The Michigan Wolverines are back on the rise in this week’s AP Poll after a 31-20 win over Michigan State on Saturday night in East Lansing, landing in the No. 21 spot.

Five teams in the Big Ten, including the Wolverines, are ranked after the Week 9 slate of games. Ohio State sits at No. 1, while Indiana remans at No. 2. Oregon is back up to No. 6, while Michigan and USC holds things down at the back of the rankings at No 21 and 23, respectively.

Michigan’s win over MSU was sloppy, but still one that head coach Sherrone Moore and company were happy to grab for the fourth season in a row.

“It means everything,” Moore said. “We talked ad nauseam about how important this game was throughout the week. We talked about it after the game against Washington, and then on Tuesday, we talked about the history of the rivalry, what it means to win this game for the state, for the city, you know, the records. So, it means everything for us to have won this game and have Paul back at home again.”

Here is the full poll released on Sunday afternoon following the Week 9 slate of games. Each week’s AP Poll will be released on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET for the rest of the season.
