The 2022 Michigan Wolverines football team is almost together in its entirety. The Maize and Blue had 14 early enrollees join the program in January, and now nine more freshmen and one transfer have arrived on campus this summer.

The list of freshman early enrollees: WR Darrius Clemons, QB Jayden Denegal, DL Mason Graham, DB Will Johnson, OL Connor Jones, DB Kody Jones, TE Colston Loveland, DE Derrick Moore, WR Tyler Morris, QB Alex Orji, DB Myles Pollard, DB Keon Sabb, WR Amorion Walker.

The list of freshman summer enrollees: DB Zeke Berry, DB Damani Dent, DT Kenneth Grant, TE Marlin Klein, OL Alessandro Lorenzetti, OLB Micah Pollard, LB Jimmy Rolder, LB Deuce Spurlock, RB CJ Stokes.

Michigan’s 2022 recruiting class ranked ninth in the country and third in the Big Ten per the On3 Consensus, behind only Ohio State (fourth) and Penn State (seventh). The haul marked the fifth time head coach Jim Harbaugh reeled in a top-10 class.

Michigan also added Virginia graduate transfer offensive center Olusegun Oluwatimi. He joined the team in January. The only other incoming transfer is Central Florida graduate defensive tackle Cam Goode, who arrived June 1.

Michigan football jersey numbers revealed

Several new Michigan football players posted photos of their lockers on social media, which revealed their jersey numbers for the coming season. Below is a roundup of what we’ve gathered based on those posts.

• Cam Goode will wear the No. 99, a classic number for a defensive tackle. He tagged Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle and future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Aaron Donald in his Instagram story, a tip of the cap to one of the all-time greats.

• Zeke Berry will wear No. 10 with the Wolverines. He shares that number with Michigan sophomore wide receiver Cristian Dixon and freshman early enrollee quarterback Alex Orji. Since both of those individuals are offensive players, he shouldn’t have a problem with keeping his number.

• Damani Dent will sport the No. 9. Michigan sophomore quarterback J.J. McCarthy is the only other player with that number.

• Deuce Spurlock will don the No. 15. Two Michigan quarterbacks share those digits — graduate Alan Bowman and senior walk-on Andy Maddox.

June is a big month for Michigan football

The freshmen arriving on campus isn’t the only big event this month. The Michigan staff has already hit the road for satellite camps, and they’ll also host visitors throughout the month of June. Most notably, the Wolverines will hold ‘Victors Weekend’ June 17-19. The Maize and Blue haven’t landed a commitment since March 29 and have the opportunity to build some momentum on the trail.
