All these years later, nobody predicted that former Michigan football quarterback Tom Brady would still be going strong. There might also be some buzz suggesting his 22nd season in the NFL could actually be his last.

According to a report from CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora, some in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization are bracing for this to be Brady’s final season. Signals have not been put out either way, but the Bucs will have a tough time keeping the team together in 2022.

“He hasn’t signaled one way or the other what he’s going to do,” a source said in the story. “Maybe he doesn’t know himself. But it wouldn’t be surprising if this was the end.”

Another added: “Nothing’s been said, but there is a sense among some guys in the locker room that this is it, one way or the other. It’s just little things here or there they are picking up on. Maybe it turns out to be nothing.”

Brady has said in the past he is interested in playing until he is 50. The 44-year-old Michigan alum suits up Sunday with a trip to the NFC Championship Game on the line. The Los Angeles Rams and Bucs kick off at 3 p.m. ET with the victor being a win away from a Super Bowl appearance.

The Raiders’ job is viewed as very attractive to many of the top coaching candidates. Davis has shown a willingness to spend big, give a coach significant authority and, despite some roster warts, Las Vegas did reach the postseason this year. The Raiders are still working through their hiring process, but would get interest from former Broncos head coach and longtime Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels if they reached out, as well as former Jets head coach Todd Bowles, currently defensive coordinator of the Bucs, sources said.
