Where Michigan stands in 2024 On3 Consensus national team recruiting rankings

Michigan has jumped to No. 12 in the 2024 On3 Consensus National Team Recruiting Rankings board following the verbal commitment of Bellevue (Wash.) High On300 tight end Hogan Hansen.
Hansen becomes the fourth rising junior to the Wolverines in the 2024 cycle. Ranked No. 4 overall among all senior Ohio native prospects, per the On3 Consensus, chose Michigan over offers from Washington, Auburn, Oregon, Florida, and Michigan State.
Hansen visited Ann Arbor for the Penn State game back in October, where he and his family received significiant personal time with Grant Newsome. Hansen is a member of Ford Sports Performance, based in Washington state, and is one of the top year-roun training academies in the country. Michigan’s coaching staff, including Jay Harbaugh and Albert Karschnia, have built a strong relationship with the leaders of FSP.
“First and foremost, I’d like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play at the next level,” Hansen said via Twitter. “Secondly, I’d like to thank my family for all the love and support they have given me throughout this journey. Lastly, I’d like to thank my teammates and coaches at Bellevue as well as Tracy Ford, Marcus Griffin and the FSP program for continuing to push me to become the player I am today. With that being said, I’m excited to stay a Wolverine and announce my commitment to the University of Michigan. Go Blue.”
