Former Michigan Wolverines football tight end Colston Loveland had a slow start to his rookie campaign but is on a tear at the right time for the Chicago Bears, who are 6-3 and winners of two-straight and five of their last six outings. His breakout games have coincided with the Bears’ resurgence and emergence as a contender in the NFC North.

In his first four games, he put up 5 catches for 56 yards, but in the last four, he has 16 grabs for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns. One week after scoring two touchdowns, including the game-winner, in a 47-42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the 6-foot-6, 241-pound Loveland hauled in 4 grabs for 55 yards in a 24-20 comeback victory over the New York Giants.

The No. 10 overall pick and the highest-drafted tight end this year, Loveland now ranks fourth among rookies at his position with 289 receiving yards, behind Indianapolis’ Tyler Warren (617), the Los Angeles Chargers’ Oronde Gadsden II (466) and Cleveland’s Harold Fannin Jr. (396).

AJ Barner (2023), TE, Seattle Seahawks

Didn’t have any catches but did run twice for 3 yards in a 44-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals … Hauled in 21 catches for 236 yards and 4 touchdowns while opening all nine games for the 7-2 Seahawks.

The former Michigan All-American recorded 5 tackles, including 1 for loss, in a 27-20 loss to the New York Jets … Tallied 62 tackles, 5 TFL, 1 sack, 4 pass breakups, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery while starting all nine contests for the 2-7 Browns.

Zach Charbonnet (2019-20), RB, Seattle Seahawks

Rushed 14 times for a season-high 83 yards and a touchdown in a 44-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals … Rushed for 313 yards and 6 scores on 94 carries and hauled in 7 receptions for 57 yards in eight games off the bench.

Nico Collins (2017-19), WR, Houston Texans

Targeted 15 times by backup quarterback Davis Mills and made 7 catches for a season-best 136 yards in a 36-29 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and hauled in a two-point conversion on a one-handed grab … Reeled in 40 catches for a team-high 550 yards and 3 touchdowns in eight games for the 4-5 Texans … His 26 targets over the last two games rank as the second-most in the NFL, behind only Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase (27).

Blake Corum (2020-23), RB, Los Angeles Rams

The former Michigan All-American had another productive outing with 13 carries for 56 yards in a 42-26 win over the San Francisco 49ers … Rushed 67 times for 307 yards and a score in nine games this season for the 7-2 Rams.

Mike Danna (2019), DE, Kansas City Chiefs

Had a bye … Tallied 11 tackles with 2 for loss, 1 sack, 1 interception and a pass breakup in seven starts for the 5-4 Chiefs.

Rashan Gary (2016-18), DL, Green Bay Packers

Totaled 4 tackles in a 10-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles Monday night … Compiled 31 tackles, 7 TFL, 7.5 sacks and a forced fumble while starting all nine outings for the 5-3-1 Packers.

Graham Glasgow (2012-15), OL, Detroit Lions

Aidan Hutchinson (2018-21), DL, Detroit Lions

The former Michigan Heisman Trophy runner-up broke up a pass and totaled 2 pressures in a 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders … Tied 10th in the NFL with 7 sacks, and leads the league with 57 pressures … Added 18 tackles, 7 TFL, a league-leading 4 forced fumbles, 2 pass breakups and 1 fumble recovery while starting all nine games for the 6-3 Lions.
