Michigan lands commitment from four-star WR Zion Robinson

Michigan has scored a big commitment on the recruiting trail.
Four-star Mansfield (Texas) High wide receiver Zion Robinson committed to Michigan over fellow finalists Miami, Nebraska, Stanford and Texas Tech.
Robinson’s decision comes less than a month after he made an official visit to U-M.
“It went really well,” Robinson said. “I had a great time out there. I like everything about Michigan. I got to learn more about the education piece and the fit. Those were the two biggest things for me. It was definitely a great experience.”
Michigan wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy and head coach Sherrone Moore led the way in this recruitment.
“I like Coach Bellamy a lot,” Robinson said. “He told me how he sees me coming in and making an impact. I agree with him. I feel like our relationship has gotten stronger…. (Moore) is very well-spoken We talked about the factors that I’m looking for in a school, and he gave me the answers. He talked about the academic piece. You can connect with anyone in the world. They have a great alumni base.”
At 6-foot-2, 160 pounds with 10.8 100-meter speed, Robinson has the skillset to be a game breaker for the Wolverines.
“Michigan has a reputation for running the football, but they are going to throw the ball more,” Robinson said. “Things are going to change. Coach Lindsey told me that himself. He did some great things at North Carolina with Drake Maye. Obviously, they have Bryce (Underwood) at quarterback now.”
